She is also survived by her daughters, Susan Nance Sautter Deborah “Debbie” Nance Miller Jean Nance Earman and her husband Steve and her twin sons, John Lindsay “Jack” Nance and his wife DeAnn and William Wesley “Bill” Nance and his wife Cindy. Dot is survived by her other sister, Melba Walston. Her sister, Kathryn “Kack” Jackson, also preceded her in death. They moved to Clinton in 1952 and had been married for almost 50 years when he died in July of 1995. John and Dot corresponded during the war and got married on Septemat St. Paul and John both played on the same softball team, and Dot was a frequent fan. She met her future husband, John Wesley Nance, before World War II, when he spent the summer with his brother Paul in Washington. Dot loved “Little Washington” and spent many happy hours on the Pamlico River with her family and friends. She was the youngest daughter of William Edmund “Bill” Warner and Rhoda Gurganus Warner.
